Blast from the past

I recently browsed through a couple of my archives and discovered this photo taken during a trip in the Transkei. I knew it could be a great photo, but was never satisfied with the post production results. Well I’ve learned a couple of editing tricks in the mean time…..

How did I do it? Combination HDR, Curves and miltiplied layers…..

United Nations – Tina & Angelo

Tina and Angelo granted me the honor of capturing their wedding in Franschoek today. It was a beautiful day with big blue skies and stunning Autumn colours with only their closest friends attending. Tina is from Germany and Engelo from Italy, but beautiful South Africa is their home now. They fell in love in Franschoek a while ago and decided that this is where they want to get married. Glenwood wine farm played host to this stunning day.

They are flying to Europe tomorrow and I’ve just finished editing their photos. I’ll get them printed tomorrow morning for them to take with. That’s a delivery time of less than 24 hours! Amazing what you can do with plenty of strong coffee to keep you focused!

Playing with fire

With this bad weather I’m forced to get creative indoors. Some photos of smoke… Doesn’t sound very interesting but the pics came out great!
