I came back this afternoon from shooting a corporate event in Beaufort West. During my 6 hour drive back home I just realized again what an amazingly beautiful country South Africa is. The Karoo (considered a semi-desert) is simply spectacular this time of the year.

Having fun with HDR
Tanya is away in Australia visiting some friends so I’ve been playing bachelor for the last couple of days (and not enjoying it very much). I miss her terribly… it’s the longest we have ever been apart since we met about 10 years ago.
With only the Mutts to keep me company I had some time to work on my editing skills and reworked a couple of photos from our weekend in Paternoster.
With things a bit quieter now and me really digging in to catch up with the book layouts I’ve been stuck in my little office with only the Mutts to keep my company for way too long. I decided to make the best of the beautiful sunny winters day and go play outside with my camera. Kim joined me and we ended up in Kalkbay harbour just as the fishing vessels returned from the ocean.
